Year in Review 2016

As we round out 2016, we are taking a look back on our busy year of growth, improvements and notable accomplishments. Here are some highlights of the recognitions we received throughout the year.

January
Citrus Valley Medical Center and Foothill Presbyterian Hospital were selected to receive the Women’s Choice Award for being two of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety.

Inter-Community received the Get With The Guidelines® Heart Failure Gold Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Foundation secondary prevention guidelines for heart failure patients. In addition, our Certified Primary Stroke Center at Queen of the Valley Hospital received the Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement award.


April

Queen of the Valley Hospital received the honor of Blue Distinction Specialty Care Center for Total Joint Knee and Hip Replacement. QVH has met all of the selection criteria as a Blue Distinction Designation Center through Blue Shield of California. Blue Distinction Specialty Care is a national designation program recognizing health care facilities that demonstrate expertise in delivering quality specialty care safely, effectively and cost efficiently.


Citrus Valley Health Partners received the Healthgrades Innovation Award for our efforts in reaching and influencing patients using innovative communication tactics.


May

Queen of the Valley Hospital received the Get With The Guidelines® Heart Failure Gold Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology Foundation secondary prevention guidelines for heart failure patients. This marks the fourth year that we have been recognized for our heart failure measures by the AHA.


Citrus Valley Health Partners was named “Best Hospital” and “Best Place to Work” by the readers of the San Gabriel Valley Tribune and by you, our CVHP family!


Citrus Valley Medical Center ranked a “high performer” by US News & World Report. Citrus Valley Medical Center achieved “high performing” ratings in two adult procedures and conditions: Heart Failure and COPD. The annual Best Hospital Honor Roll rankings were released this month by US News & World Report. The US News analysis of hospitals includes data from nearly 5,000 centers across multiple clinical specialties, procedures and conditions.


August

Citrus Valley Health Partners received the Healthy Hospital Award from Stryker Sustainability. This designation is reserved for select hospitals that demonstrate exceptional commitment to health care sustainability and quality through the employment of medical device remanufacturing and reprocessing programs.
