CVMC Stroke Program Recognized

Strokes are the fifth leading cause of deaths in the U.S. We’re proud to share that our certified Primary Stroke Center is saving lives every day. In fact, based on a new report, Citrus Valley Medical Center (Inter-Community Hospital and Queen of the Valley Hospital) has one of the lowest stroke death rates in the country. Citrus Valley was ranked ninth with a 10.9% stroke death rate. The national Average is 14.9%.

Queen of the Valley was also recgonized by the American Heart Association /American Stroke Association for the quality health care achievement and was featured in its 2016 U.S. News & World Report congratulatory ad. We were included because of our success in meeting performance measures in the Get With the Guidelines qualtiy improvement program.
