Strokes are the fifth leading cause of deaths in the U.S. We’re proud
to share that our certified Primary Stroke Center is saving lives every
day. In fact, based on a new report, Citrus Valley Medical Center (Inter-Community
Hospital and Queen of the Valley Hospital) has one of the lowest stroke
death rates in the country. Citrus Valley was ranked ninth with a 10.9%
stroke death rate. The national Average is 14.9%.
Queen of the Valley was also recgonized by the American Heart Association
/American Stroke Association for the quality health care achievement and
was featured in its 2016 U.S. News & World Report congratulatory ad.
We were included because of our success in meeting performance measures
in the Get With the Guidelines qualtiy improvement program.
