Community members Jack and Connie Watson will be honored with the Laband
Award at our 24th Annual Autumn Nocturne Black Tie and Dinner Dance being
held at the Fairplex Conference Center in Pomona on Saturday, November 16, 2013.
The Glendora residents have been faithful supporters of CVHP for nearly
30 years and were one of the first major donors for the Hospice Endowment
Campaign and our two previous capital campaigns for The Arthur and Sarah
Ludwick Emergency Care Pavilion at FPH and CVMC. In addition, the Watsons
have supported many other capital projects to ensure that our patients
get the best care possible. They recently funded the remodeling of all
ten inpatient Hospice rooms.
Established in 1990 in honor of Walter and Francine Laband, the Laband
Award recognizes individuals, organizations or corporations who have demonstrated
a commitment to furthering Citrus Valley Health Partners' mission
of providing quality, compassionate health care to its community; made
a valuable contribution to the building of relationships for the betterment
of the San Gabriel Valley as a place to live and work; exemplifies CVHP
in a positive and compassionate manner embodying the organization's
philosophy of service and concern; achieved the respect of the community
through philanthropy and community leadership; and served the hospital
and community over a number of years.
Invitations to Autumn Nocturne will not be mailed out for several months;
however, information on sponsorship opportunities is available now by
calling the Foundation at (626) 814-2421.
