The Citrus Valley Heart Center provides the most advanced invasive and
non-invasive testing and treatment services in East San Gabriel Valley.
We use a multidisciplinary team approach at our three campuses. Our Heart
Center is located at our Inter-Community Campus in Covina. All three of
our hospital campuses, which also include Queen of the Valley Hospital
in West Covina, Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, perform non-invasive
cardiac testing for screening and diagnosis. Rigorous testing capabilities
provide our cardiology doctors with all the information they need to implement
treatment promptly and effectively. Once a patient is diagnosed and may
need treatment they are referred to our Heart Center at Inter-Community Hospital.
Our cardiac non-invasive testing capabilities permit us to determine the
presence and extent of cardiac disease and disorder. Our non-invasive
state of the art cardiac services at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West
- Electrocardiography or EKG to detect electrical function of the heart.
- Stress Testing both exercise as well as pharmacological stress testing
(non-exercise) which allows us to stimulate exercise for those patients
who have orthopedic or other movement difficulties. This test will help
us see how the heart functions during exercise.
- Echocardiogram is a painless procedure which uses a transducer to transmit
high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) within the heart chambers and
valves. These waves bounce throughout the heart area and produce the images
that detect heart damage and/or disease. We have 3-D capability which
gives our reading cardiologists the ability to see all angles of the heart.
