Program Description:
For women with diabetes who are planning a pregnancy or for those who develop diabetes during pregnancy. This program is designed to assist you in learning to control your diabetes through the team support of your doctor, nurse educator, dietician and counselor. As the most important member of this team,
you will learn how to eat the right foods and test your blood sugars at home.
Instructions include:
- How to reduce risks to mother and baby
- Individualized meal plan
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Exercise benefits and precautions
- Stress management
- After care guidelines
Classes offered in English and Spanish.
