Who Can Benefit
Children or adolescents experiencing difficulties with gross or fine motor skills, developmental delays, visual perception problems, symptoms related to cerebral palsy and other congenital diseases, or for those suffering from a head trauma or neuromuscular injury may benefit from the early intervention and therapy options available at Citrus Valley Centers for Rehabilitation Services.

How We Can Help
Early intervention is the key to improving a patient’s prognosis and improving his or her chances for a full and rewarding life. By utilizing the Physical, Occupational and Speech-Language Therapies available at Citrus Valley Centers, we can help:

  • Increase skills to a functional level by the time the child starts school
  • Increase cognitive functions in order to make academic progress
  • Decrease poor habits and disruptive behaviors
  • Increase self-esteem and socialization skills
  • Improve parent-child relationship through better understanding of abilities and disabilities

Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists—many who are California Children’s Services (CCS) paneled and Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) trained—perform diagnostic assessments and design therapeutic treatments to help children master their environment at an age-appropriate level. The team seeks to accomplish this goal in the following areas:

  • Gross and fine motor skills
  • Self-care
  • Cognitive learning
  • Visual-perceptual skills
