Life…and personal determination…and making sure that every
day is lived to the fullest.
People choose Citrus Valley Hospice for many reasons. Most people choose
us because they want to embrace life. We help them through the difficult
moments of serious illness and end of life transitions. We help them to
understand and manage the emotional and physical uncertainties they are
experiencing, and we help them find comfortable ways to share remembrances
and feelings with family members and friends.
Hospice is not about losing hope or about giving up. Hospice is about redefining
hope: hope for a richer, more peaceful end-of-life experience; hope for
an easier transition for your family through sensitive grief support.
Hospice is about quality of life. The hospice benefit allows you and your
family to stay together in the comfort of your home unless you need care
in our inpatient unit.
By working together, our Hospice Team – which consists of you and
your family members, your physician, our medical director, a registered
nurse, home health aide, social worker, pharmacist, dietician, volunteers,
and a chaplain – can develop a plan of care that meets your needs.
A hospice nurse and doctor are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
give you and your family support and care when you need it.
These services are typically covered while under hospice care:
Nursing Care (intermittent visits)
Medical Equipment (like wheelchairs or walkers)
Medical Supplies (like bandages and catheters)
Medications for symptom control
Hospice Aide and homemaker services
Physical and Occupational Therapy
Speech-language pathology services
Social worker services
Grief and loss counseling for you and your family
Short-term inpatient care (for pain and symptom control)
Any other services related to the terminal diagnosis, as recommended by
your hospice team.
We are here to help you and your loved ones discover the sense of peace
and fulfillment that each day can hold.
