Grace Wong, a medical physicist, oversees Inter-Community Hospital’s
Radiation Therapy program from a physics standpoint, confirming that the
dose calculations and the patients’ treatment plans are aligned
with the machine output. She also does the monthly output checks on the
Linear Accelerator, checking on beam symmetry and beam flatness, as well
as the accuracy of optical distance indicators.
Grace has 25 years’ experience working as a Medical Physicist at
Citrus Valley Health Partners, Kaiser Permanente, and City of Hope.
Grace is a diplomate on the American Board of Radiology — Radiological
Physics and is certified by the state of California to perform X-ray therapy
calibration and protection surveys.
Grace graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor of arts in physics.
She earned her master’s degree in medical physics from UCLA.
