Cancer Resource Center to Host Free Colorectal Cancer Awareness Event March 9
Colorectal cancer, the second-deadliest form of cancer in the United States, affects more than 112,000 individuals each year. However, when caught early, colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum) is curable and the prognosis is good for the patient.
On Tuesday, March 9, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Citrus Valley Health Partners Cancer Resource Center will host a Colorectal Cancer Awareness Event. The program will be held in the Conference Center at Citrus Valley Medical Center – Inter-Community Campus, 210 W. San Bernardino Road, in Covina. The free event is open to the public, but space is limited to the first 100 people. To make a reservation, please call (626) 814-2479 by Thursday, March 4.
Dr. Osama Sidhom, a gastroenterologist, will be the guest speaker, and he will provide valuable information on the prevention, screening and treatment of colorectal cancer. Educational materials will also be available.
