CVHP to Receive Funds from Revlon Run/Walk for Women
The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) has selected the Citrus Valley Health Partners Cancer Resource Center as a recipient of funds raised in this year’s Revlon Run/Walk for Women, to be held Saturday, May 8 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
CVHP has been a longtime supporter of the event, one of the nation’s largest, and for the ninth straight year is organizing a team to participate and raise money for the run/walk. Last year, CVHP sent nearly 300 participants. TEAM CVHP is headed by Cancer Resource Center Coordinator Renée Gaines, who has been taking part in the event for more than a decade.
“This will be my 12th year participating in the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women,” Gaines said. “As a cancer survivor myself, I watch in amazement all the men, women & children who come out that day to support the fight against women’s cancers.”
“This event brings to life the heart of human beings coming together for the greater good,” Gaines added. “What is even more wonderful as a beneficiary of the event, the funds received at CVHP helps hundreds of patients each year find ways to become healthier in mind, body and spirit as they fight the fight of their lives.”
The Cancer Resource Center is an excellent resource for getting all the information you need on how to prevent, detect and treat different forms of cancer. The center is at 315 N. Third Ave., Suite 303B, in Covina, on the grounds of the Citrus Valley Medical Center – Inter-Community Campus. The center can be reached by calling (626) 938-7585.
